SALLISAW, Okla. (AP) _ A 26-year-old Texas woman is killed after the truck she's riding is involved in a head-on crash in Sequoyah County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Heather Martin of College Station, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene of Saturday night's crash.
The patrol says Martin was a passenger in a pickup driven by Kelly Fitzsimmons of Sallisaw. The two women were southbound on U-S 59 when their truck crossed the centerline and slammed into a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Stephen Ratcliff of Idabell.
Troopers say Martin was partially ejected from the truck when it rolled after the crash.
Fitzsimmons, Ratcliff and four children in Ratcliff's vehicle were hospitalized.
The patrol suspects alcohol played a factor in the crash.
