Two of Tulsa's downtown churches are demolishing buildings to make room to expand.

Trinity Episcopal started demolition this week on the Tulsa Auto Hotel at 6th and Cincinnati. It will make room for a parking lot and new church entrance.

And just up the street, First Baptist Church is tearing down two buildings once used by Solow Glass.

They will be replaced with a west facing church entrance and playground, which is part of a major renovation project for the church.
