Wednesday marks the second Ozone Alert day in a row for the city of Tulsa. The city is urging people to carpool or take city busses, and wait to fill your gas tank until evening.

They also want homeowners to curb their lawn mowers. INCOG air quality manager Nancy Graham: "Simple lawn mowers are significant polluters, even more so than the car and so if you can avoid using those kinds of engines on alert days or even in the heat of the day and wait until the later hours, then you're helping the air quality."

Mike Beason at BA Lawn and Garden is stocking new, cleaner lawn equipment like these "four-mix" trimmers. He says old 2-cycle mowers and trimmers are being phased out due to stricter emissions standards.

The new trimmers still run on a mixture of oil and gas, but have 4-stroke engines that are 70-percent cleaner.
