A Catoosa fireworks warehouse is open for business this morning, despite a burglary that cost it thousands of dollars.

The Jake's Fireworks warehouse located at 16115 East Skelly Drive in Catoosa was burglarized early Thursday morning.

Catoosa Police say the burglars jerked open the front door and loaded shopping carts with fireworks.

The damage and lost fireworks amount to about $15,000.00.

The store's manager says most of the items stolen are high-end items.

"Get a life. Get a job. Do like everyone else and make your living honestly. Don't take from other people," said manager Kathy Tyree.

The store has beefed up security to try to keep it from happening again.
