Identity of resigned officer released

YUKON, Okla. (AP) _ Officials in Yukon have identified the police officer asked to resign after admitting he had sex while on duty. <br/><br/>Police Chief Ike Shirley says the officer was Phong Dang Nguyen.

YUKON, Okla. (AP) _ Officials in Yukon have identified the police officer asked to resign after admitting he had sex while on duty.

Police Chief Ike Shirley says the officer was Phong Dang Nguyen. Shirley says Nguyen was a corporal and his only previous discipline was for missing a state Department of Public Safety hearing.

Six other officers remain under investigation. Their names are being withheld while the investigation is ongoing. The police chief says the investigation will continue as long as necessary.

A convenience store owner prompted the investigation by reporting to police that officers had been engaging in sexual acts with a 23-year-old clerk at the store for nearly 18 months.
