The Salvation Army is jumping in on the growth in south Tulsa.
Friday was a groundbreaking ceremony for the city's newest Salvation Army Family Store. The new facility will be located on 71st, just east of Garnett and will be the organization's fourth and largest store.
Major Richard McConniel says the most important thing about the Family Stores is how it serves the needs of people. "All the resources that comes to us throught the store goes to the Adult Rehabilitation Center, where we serve about 80 men everyday, all year long, 24 hours."
The Salvation Army hopes to have the building ready to open by October.
