OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Drivers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa rank in the top one-third safest in a study by Allstate Insurance Company.
Researchers for Illinois-based Allstate found drivers in Oklahoma City can expect to be involved in an auto accident once every ten-point-four years, the 52nd best rate among the 196 cities studied.
Tulsa drivers rank 58th safest with an average accident of once every 10.1 years.
The study rates Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as the safest driving city with motorists involved in a collision once every 15 years while Washington, DC, is at the bottom of the list with drivers having an accident once every 5.2 years.
The national average is motorists involved in a crash once every ten years.
