Yaffe Metal Company in Muskogee appears to be staying put.

A Yaffe official says they've decided not to sell the scrap metal plant and at this time have no intention of pursuing another buyer. This decision comes two days after a deal with a St. Louis based company to buy all 14 of Yaffe's facilities was expected to be final.

Talks of selling the plants began after Yaffe came under fire about replacing a furnace that exploded in December, killing two workers, and causing damage to homes.

Officials have not said whether that furnace will be replaced.
