CLAYTON, Okla. (AP) _ No charges are planned against employees of the southeastern Oklahoma town of Clayton who moved several tombstones in Clayton's Old Town Cemetery.
Pushmataha County assistant District Attorney James Wolfe says three city employees admit moving the markers, some of which are more than 100-years-old. The workers told Wolfe they moved the markers when they were mowing the cemetery and didn't realize they were disturbing gravesites.
The stones have been replaced, but some residents say some of the stones were not returned to the proper location.
