An investigation is underway in Sequoyah County into a drowning on Lake Tenkiller.

20-year-old Shelby Hudson of Edmond dove off of a cliff in Pine Creek Cove, hit the water with his chest and went under.

Witnesses say he struggled to swim to shore, went back underwater, and never resurfaced.

A diver from the Tenkiller Fire Department recovered Hudson's body.
