A Claremore woman is trying to reclaim her identity. She says someone used her name and social security number to get a cell phone and order cable TV.
Kathryn Martin and her husband are raising their disabled grandson, and struggle just to get by. She says now, collection agencies are coming after her for someone else's debts.
Kathryn Martin: "T-Mobile did say we took if off your bill, but I don't understand why these companies don't want to help you get the person who's doing that."
Kathryn closely monitors her credit reports now. The News on 6 checked the apartment where the cable was ordered in Kathryn's name, but it's empty. The thief could've gotten Kathryn's information by digging through her trash. She wasn't shredding her stuff, but she is now.
