BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) -- The Broken Arrow Fire Department is getting a $38,500 federal grant to help teach fire safety to students.
Rick Fisher with the fire department says the money will be used to buy a fire safety trailer that's used as a mobile classroom. Fisher says the trailer has a bedroom that fills with smoke so they can teach children how to escape in case of a fire in their home.
The grant comes from the Department of Homeland Security.
