The man accused of killing Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Nik Green will soon have his day in court.

Ricky Malone is accused of murdering Green during a roadside stop back in December of 2003. Authorities say Malone was involved in meth making, at the time.

Since his death, Trooper Green's wife has pushed for more anti-meth laws. A law named after her husband has helped reduce meth lab seizures in our state by 70-percent. Linda Green: “this is my way of having a sense that I’m protecting someone else from having to go through what we've gone through.”

25-other states could adopt laws similar to ours. Ricky Malone's trial is set to begin on Monday in Comanche County.
