Thanks to the Roy Sturgeon Family, the city of Broken Arrow broke ground Tuesday on a new rose garden at Nienhuis Park.

The rose garden will be located in the traffic circle at the park and will be named in memory of Charlene Sturgeon. The garden will include hundreds of roses, a large native stone that will hold plaques and an art piece.

The project will begin sometime this month.
