Wet roads are blamed for an accident that ended in a car fire early Thursday morning. It happened shortly after 2 AM on West 71st Street.

Officers found a burning car in a ditch, but apparently the driver had left the scene. There are no reports of any injuries.

Police arrested a driver after a two-car accident at 28th and Riverside. One car was heavily damaged. The driver of that vehicle was taken to a local hospital. Officers say the driver who they arrested was dazed at first and could not explain what happened.

Police are still investigating.
