NASA has unveiled two new photos from space and Tulsa is the only place in Oklahoma where you can see them.
The Tulsa Air and Space Museum unveiled two big pictures Monday from the Hubble Telescope. One shows a "whirlpool galaxy" - a galaxy much like our own "Milky Way". The other shows the "eagle nebula" - a dusty part of space where stars are born.
Officials say exhibits like this are critical to the future success of Tulsa's Air and Space Museum. Judy Adair with the Tulsa Air and Space Museum: "We have got aviation and the history of aviation in Tulsa covered and we need to move on and do more things with space as well. We need to bring it all together and show how space has evolved into space flight and exploration."
The unveiling of the photos is part of a celebration of Monday's 15th birthday of the Hubble Telescope. The pictures will be on display through July 4th.
