Severe weather lashed out at eastern Oklahoma Thursday evening with reports of a tornado, hail, and strong winds.

Our News on 6 WARN Team was out in force Thursday watching the severe weather roll across Green Country. There was a report of a small tornado touchdown 4 miles southwest of Inola and numerous reports of dime to tennis ball sized hail. The largest hail report came from Taiwah, in Rogers County with softball size hail.

There was no damage reported from the tornado, but there was numerous reports of damage from the hail and strong winds as they moved across the area.

Earlier Thursday evening, scattered strong storms developed to the northeast of Tulsa in southeast Kansas. A large tornado was reported on the ground just north of Parsons, Kansas. Initial damage reports indicate 3 homes destroyed and 2 damaged. There were no reports of injuries but officials say some livestock may have been killed.
