Tulsa Police are continuing to investigate the sexual assault of a 14-year-old Tulsa girl that happened early Wednesday morning, as well as two other, similar crimes on the city's east side.
There's concern the city could have another serial rapist on its hands. All 3 crimes happened along 31st Street, all of them in the early morning hours and all happened in the space of about 10 days. But Tulsa Police don't have a lot to go on.
Thursday, they interviewed the 14-year-old girl who was attacked at the Meadows Apartments early Wednesday morning. But because the suspect's face was covered, they don't have enough information to make a composite. The News on 6 asked about the other crimes.
Police say there are similarities, but they say there are also differences. Tulsa Police Cpl Mark Mears: "We're still not ready to say that it's definitely the same guy, but there are certainly a lot of similarities, certainly the time frame, what time during the day and the area."
The suspect is a black, Hispanic, or possibly mixed-race male, in his early 20's, with a slender build.
One thing these crimes "do" have in common is an unlocked window or door, so Tulsa Police say to keep those locked.
