ATOKA, Okla. (AP) -- City officials in Atoka say they're considering banning pit bull terriers because of recent complaints about dogs in the town.

City Manager Martha Allen-Barber says most complaints are about pit bulls without leashes or in yards without fences. Allen-Barber says there have been no reports of pit bulls biting anyone.

She says the City Council discussed the issue Monday and plans to vote on it next month.
