OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- In a letter to a woman who lost two grandchildren in the Oklahoma City bombing, Terry Nichols claims there was never any plan for a second bombing on Tuesday's 10th anniversary of the attack.
The convicted co-conspirator wrote the letter from federal prison April 6th to Jannie Coverdale.
He wrote it just days after the FBI found explosive materials underneath his former home in Herington, Kansas. Agents acted on information from another inmate, mobster Gregory Scarpa Junior.
In his letter, Nichols does not dispute reports he told the inmate the location of the explosives.
Nichols is serving life sentences with no possibility of release for his role in the bombing of the federal building.
He became religious after his arrest and writes some victims, mainly about his beliefs. Coverdale lost two grandsons -- 5-year-old Aaron and 2-year-old Elijah -- in the explosion.
