NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ More than 150 people showed up in Norman Sunday to audition for MTV's reality television program ``The Real World.''
Auditions were held at Al Eschbach's Sports Bar and Grill on Campus Corner.
The show -- which pioneered the reality genre -- puts seven young adults under one roof and records their everyday lives.
While many aspiring cast members for the next season were from the Oklahoma City area, most came from out of state.
A former Marine and Oklahoma City resident now living in Kansas City, Missouri, 24 year old Zach McKamie said he auditioned because he wants to become a television celebrity.
Some applicants had auditioned in other states.
Applicants who made it to the next round were to return Monday for a second audition.
