Some Tulsa students watched the Pope’s funeral coverage Friday, thanks to video tape. The School of Saint Catherine canceled morning classes Friday for the older kids and gathered to watch a tape of the pope's funeral.
For the seventh and eighth graders, it was a chance to see just how many lives were touched by the only pope they have ever known.
8th grader Brittney Gomez: “He spent a lot of time reaching out to people other than Catholics. He spent time everywhere with people letting them know he cared about 'em."
8th grader Shelby James: "It is sad to have him gone and it's gonna be hard to have someone new."
Pope John Paul was known for reaching out to the youth of the church and visiting children all over the world.
