TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) An 18-year-old Colcord woman is killed when her car runs off the road and strikes a tree northeast of Tahlequah.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Vernalou Llenado Labitad was pronounced dead at the scene of Wednesday's crash on State Highway 10 in Cherokee County.

The patrol says Labitad was southbound when she failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road and struck a tree.
