Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputies arrest two people Wednesday in connection with a recent murder.
News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright says after the News on 6 ran a Catch a Crook report Saturday night about the unsolved murder of Richard Briggs, a Crimestoppers tip helped deputies make two arrests.
Briggs was killed in a field a couple of weeks ago and his 5-month old daughter was abandoned in the bed of a pickup truck at an apartment complex. Deputies arrested Melanie Totty[pictured left] and Jaumon Okyere[pictured right] on complaints of first degree murder.
They say Totty was dating both men and Okyere became jealous and shot Briggs 13 times, then Totty and Okyere left the baby at an east Tulsa apartment complex.
