OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A man wanted for allegedly taking money from the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth has been arrested.

Oklahoma City police arrested Donald Edward Stokes Junior after a car chase with police. The 39-year-old of Keller, Texas, man had worked since 1991 at the Fort Worth plant that prints currency.

Police say Stokes was found with nearly 80-thousand dollars in crisp $50 and $100 bills in the vehicle he was driving when he was arrested Saturday.

He was wanted on federal warrants of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft of government property. He also faces state charges in Oklahoma relating to the police chase.

Police say the 1999 Volkswagen Beetle he was driving turned out to be stolen from Tucumcari, New Mexico.
