Payne County authorities are investigating the drowning death of a 2-year-old girl. Investigators say the girl drowned in a farm pond near Stillwater.

The girl was playing at a neighbor's house with a 4-year-old friend when a neighbor noticed them missing. The child's father searched and found the girl in the pond.

He took her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
