A judge has sentenced Gerald Harvel to spend the next four years in prison for shooting his wife Karen to death.

After he gets out, he'll be on probation for six years. Harvel says he shot his wife a year ago thinking she was a burglar.

Prosecutors originally charged Harvel with murder, but lowered the charge to manslaughter as part of a plea deal.
