OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A Senate panel passes a bill to make it easier to obtain records from state agencies under Oklahoma's Open Records Act.

State Senator Jim Reynolds of Oklahoma City says part of the bill requires agencies to supply records in an electronic format if they are maintained that way.

Reynolds says there have been complaints of some agencies trying to make money off open records requests by printing out hundreds of pages at a cost of 25 cents per page.

The bill also sets a timeline of 30 days for an agency to supply a record or tell why it will take longer to do so.
