A nasty smell in parts of Tulsa Wednesday caused lots of people to hold their noses.
Strong west winds pushed the smell through the heart of downtown. Some people thought the refinery let out the smell, but they didn't report any strange or unusual odors. As you can imagine, it made quite a stink.
Tulsa Fire Department Captain David Rice: “we'll keep window shut and doors shut, that's about all we can do."
The smell lingered in the air for most of the day. Some people thought the odor was coming from the Arkansas River, but we still don't know what caused it.
