A suspect in a burglary case is behind bars, thanks to a tip from a News on 6 viewer.
6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says a viewer saw the story the News on 6 ran the other day about a burglary at a Quiznos sub shop.
Surveillance video shows a middle aged man inside a Quiznos grabbing the cash register. The burglary took place last Thursday and investigators were still looking for more information. On Monday, the News on 6 aired the surveillance video.
A viewer recognized the suspect from the broadcast and called Tulsa Police. Early Wednesday morning Tulsa Police officers arrested Dwayne Silva on burglary charges and several outstanding warrants. Investigators believe he is the man in the Quiznos surveillance video.
This is just one arrest in a series of burglaries that have taken place in recent weeks all around Tulsa.
If you have any information that can help solve any of the cases, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You can remain anonymous and your tip could get you a cash reward.
