A delay in court for a Stilwell 3rd grader accused of threatening classmates with knives at school.
His hearing was postponed because his lawyer was too busy to attend. Heather Hatchett had filed for a temporary restraining order after she says the boy held a knife to her son’s throat.
Other parents thought the restraining order would keep the boy from coming to school, so they let their children return.
However, the boy is still in school, but is in a new class. The school board in Stilwell met in executive session Monday night. The school's lawyer talked about what could be done to improve security.
