STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Kansas State scored five times in the second inning on the way to a 9-to-5 win over Oklahoma State in college baseball at Stillwater.

OSU missed a chance to sweep the conference-opening series and fall to 17-and-7 overall, 2-and-1 in the Big 12. K-State is 13-and-7, 1-and-2 in the league.

Kansas State's Adam Cowart shut out the Cowboys for eight inning before tiring in the ninth. OSU scored all five of its runs in the ninth to avoid the shutout.

OSU is off until Friday when they open another three-game conference series against Baylor in Stillwater.
