CHECOTAH, Okla. (AP) _ Two people, including a 3-year-old girl, were killed early Saturday when a pickup truck ran off Interstate 40 and overturned.
Brett William Miller, 23, and Tina L. Taylor, 3, both of Chandler, were pronounced dead at the scene, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The two were passengers in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup driven by Crystal Ranae Taylor, 20, of Chandler. Taylor was driving westbound on I-40 just east of Checotah when the OHP reported she fell asleep, ran off the roadway and hit a sign before rolling the truck 2 1/2 times.
Miller, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, according to the OHP report. Tina Taylor was in a child seat.
Crystal Taylor and another passenger, Paul A. Taylor, 23, of Chandler were transported by helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa and were listed in critical condition on Saturday.
