A suspect is charged in Sapulpa's only cold case homicide.

Prosecutors have charged John Pingleton with first degree murder. Investigators say Pingleton confessed to killing Rhonda Hardaway in 1986.

Hardaway's body was found near Sahoma Lake. She'd been beaten and shot to death.

Pingleton implicated another man who denies any involvement. Sapulpa Police detectives are waiting for DNA results to see if that person is connected to the case.
