OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A proposal to create a special economic development fund to offer last-minute incentives to potential industries is heading to the state Senate.
The Senate Finance Committee Tuesday approved the plan to create the Economic Opportunity Fund and deposit $100-million into it.
The proposal is part of Governor Brad Henry's economic package. The governor says the state needs money available to quickly react to requests for incentives from businesses that are considering moving to the state.
