OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Senate has given final approval to a bill that would expand the Quality Jobs Act.
The bill to provide incentive payments to "at risk" manufacturing companies is a holdover measure from the 2005 legislative session.
Under the bill, qualifying companies could receive payments from the state not to exceed 10 percent of the company's annual capital costs.
Oklahoma City Democrat Debbe Leftwich is the bill's sponsor. She says the aid from the state could help keep the doors open at some manufacturing companies.
The bill was passed Tuesday and now goes to Governor Brad Henry for consideration.
