Robberies have Tulsa's armed robbery squad on alert.
The squad of seven officers was created to fight the growing number of armed robberies in Tulsa. They'll target robbery hot spots; learn who the robbers are, where they live and what they drive so police detectives can build cases.
Last month, there was a record high 126 robberies in Tulsa. Tulsa Police Sgt Dave Walker: "It is a big concern to the citizens. They want to be safe in their cars and in parking lots. We certainly want our families to feel safe, so we're out here trying to do that."
Tulsa Police say there were five groups of robbers working all at once. Officers arrested 25 robbery suspects in the past month.
