OSU students react shock and disbelief over the news of Eddie Sutton

The news of Coach Sutton's DUI quickly spread across the Stillwater campus. Students and fans were left wondering what happened and what's next for the team.

6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says the reactions range from shock, disbelief and sadness.

Most students hurried off to class Monday, but the topic on everyone's mind was Coach Eddie Sutton.

His son Sean is the coach designate and took over as interim coach Monday night. That had students wondering what will happen to the face of OSU basketball and the team.

OSU student Geoff Camp: â€œa little bit of disbelief. I didn't want to believe it at first you know, because he's Eddie."

OSU student Lindsey Tackett: "I think OSU's a close-knit family and we always make it through no matter the obstacle."

Interim OSU coach Sean Sutton: "This is not fair for them, but sometimes life is not fair sometimes and it's unfortunate but I thought they handled it as well as they possibly could."

One student said Eddie Sutton is OSU and remained upbeat about the teamâ€™s future. Just how the team and students handle the rest of the season remains to be seen.
