ORIENTA, Okla. (AP) _ A Texas man is killed after colliding head on with a tractor-trailer on a bridge over the Cimarron River in Major County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 59 year-old Floyd Martin Gentry of Denison, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene of last night's crash.

The patrol says Gentry was driving westbound on U.S. Highway 60 when his pickup went left of center and slammed head on into a semi driven by Robert Thornton of Enid. Thornton wasn't injured.

Gentry was pinned inside his truck for about an hour before being pulled from the vehicle. U.S. 60 was closed for more than four hours.
