A Bartlesville woman has been arrested on charges of abusing her 12-year-old stepdaughter.

Shalana Pierce faces charges of child abuse. Sheâ€™s accused of shooting the girl with a paintball gun. Authorities say the girl told school officials Pierce shot her with a paintball gun several times over three days for behaving badly.

Pierce reportedly told Bartlesville Police she did not think there was anything wrong with shooting the girl as a form of discipline.
