A Tulsa Police officer who shot and killed a knife-wielding suspect last month -was- justified in doing so.

A criminal and internal investigation found Tulsa Police Sgt. Stephanie Jones followed the law and the department's policies.

Sgt. Jones shot 49-year-old Shirley Hedrick when Hedrick refused to drop two knives and charged at Jones and another officer at an apartment complex in the 900 block of North Yale.

Hedrick's family told the News on 6, she was schizophrenic, and had been suicidal after stopping her medications.
