TONKAWA, Okla. (AP) -- The management company of a Tonkawa tribal casino is appealing an order that requires them to close.

Federal casino regulators said yesterday they had issued a temporary closure order against the Tonkawa tribal casino and its management company.

However, the casino remained open pending an administrative appeal.

The National Indian Gaming Commission says Edward Street and his company, Oakland Enterprises, lacked an approved management contract for Tonkawa Bingo and Casino.
