An update on the death of an elderly Coweta man earlier this week.

The state medical examiner says 86-year-old Sherman Morgan died from a heart attack caused by hypothermia. Morgan's body was found Sunday morning along a creek near his apartment.

Morgan was a Tulsa Police officer in the 50's and 60's.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was investigating the death because some items inside Morgan's home were in disarray.
