OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Five bills have been filed in the state House and Senate targeting protests during funerals.
Members of a Kansas church have protested at the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq leading lawmakers in Oklahoma and several other states to consider laws limiting the protests.
One of the five bills offered in Oklahoma would make protesting at a funeral a felony with a fine of $2,500 and at least one year in jail.
The other bills would make funeral protests a misdemeanor with punishment of at least 30 days in jail and various levels of fines
