OOLOGAH, Okla. (AP) -- A 33-year-old Claremore woman is killed after a head-on collision near Oologah.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Sandra West was driving westbound on State Highway 88 near Oologah when her van was struck head-on by a car driven by 60-year-old Michael Fawcett of Oologah. The patrol says Fawcett drove left-of-center while trying to make a left turn.
West was dead upon arrival at a Tulsa-area hospital with massive internal injuries. Fawcett was in poor condition with leg, trunk and internal injuries. He was pinned in the wreckage for 25 minutes.
