OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – State Senate Democrats have revealed a funding proposal that includes an $87-million increase for higher education and $12.5-million more for the Career-Tech system.

The proposal includes $5.7-million in new money for $3,000 across-the-board pay raises to Career-Tech teachers.

The group previously announced a $195-million public school education increase proposal that included $3,000 across-the-board pay raises for public school teachers.

The Democrats also are proposing $1-million in new funding for libraries and $2.4-million for other educational entities.
