Muskogee County authorities say they may have figured out how an inmate has been able to escape three times.
Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson says he got to thinking about how 24-year-old Juston Cox had managed to slip away several times from the McIntosh County jail.
The sheriff ordered an X-ray, which showed Cox had a two and a half inch metal object in his lower intestine! Sheriff Pearson believes Cox swallowed the object and planned to use it later to unlock his handcuffs.
Cox is now being detained in the Eufaula city jail on a 24 hour watch.
