OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Secretary of State's office has completed a count of initiative petition signatures for the Taxpayer Bill of Rights, or TABOR, petition.

The petition has 299,029 signatures, almost 80,000 more than what's needed to send it to a statewide vote.

The petition now goes to state Supreme Court.

The Oklahoma Public Employees Association has served notice that it will challenge the signatures, saying many of them were illegally obtained by paid out-of-state workers.

The measure would place strict limits on amount of government spending increases, tying it to growth and inflation.
