A family in Oakhurst is homeless after fire swept through their home early Monday morning.

The fire broke out shortly after 1 AM. A woman woke her husband, and they got out with their 2-year-old son and the family pets.

The house is a total loss. The cause is under investigation.

The Red Cross is helping the family.
