OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma peace activists will commemorate the assassinations of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Junior, next Sunday with a silent walk around the Murrah Building site in downtown Oklahoma City.

The third annual Spiritual Walk for Peace is scheduled to begin at 2 PM at the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.

The walk launches the 64-day international "season for nonviolence".

More than 2,000 people participated in the first Walk for Peace in January 2003 as the United States prepared to attack Iraq.
